About Our Department


Department of Electronic Engineering offers undergraduate programs that emphasize the fundamentals of electronic engineering and enable graduates to enter the workforce with confidence. Undergraduate curricula are offered that lead to Bachelor of Engineering degrees in electronic engineering (BE). Advanced studies leading to the Master of Engineering (ME) in Electronic Engineering are available. The Electronic Engineering department provides teaching and research activities mainly in the areas of

Graduate Attributes (GAs)  

Upon completion of the programme, students will have: 

  1. An ability to demonstrate competence in university level science, mathematics, natural sciences, engineering fundamentals, and specialized engineering knowledge appropriate to the solution of complex engineering problems 
  2. An ability to use appropriate knowledge and skills of mathematics, natural sciences and engineering sciences to identify, formulate, analyze, and solve complex engineering problems in order to reach substantiated conclusions 
  3. An ability to design solutions for complex, open-ended engineering problems and to design systems, components or processes that meet specified needs with appropriate attention to public health, safety and risks, applicable standards, economic, environmental, cultural and societal considerations 
  4. An ability to conduct investigations of complex problems by using research based knowledge and research methods that include appropriate experiments, analysis and interpretation of data and synthesis of information in order to reach valid conclusions 
  5. An ability to create, select, adapt, and extend appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools to a range of engineering activities, including prediction and modelling, from simple to complex, with an understanding of the associated limitations 
  6. An ability to understand the roles and responsibilities of the Professional Engineer in society, especially the primary role of protection of the public 
  7. An ability to analyze social and environmental aspects of engineering activities, such abilities include an understanding of the interactions that engineering has with the economic, social, health, safety, legal, and cultural aspects of society; the uncertainties in the prediction of such interactions; and the concepts of sustainable design, development and environmental stewardship 
  8. An ability to apply and commit to principles of professional, ethical, social responsibilities and norms of engineering practice as experts in the field of Electronic Engineering 
  9. An ability to work effectively as an individual, a member or a leader in teamwork, preferably in multidisciplinary settings 
  10. An ability to communicate and present effectively both orally and in writing, such as being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations and give and receive clear instructions in complex engineering activities 
  11. An ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the engineering finance and management principles as a member and leader in a team to manage projects in multi-disciplinary environments 
  12. An ability to identify and to address their own educational needs and in a technological changing world, sufficiently to maintain their competence, contribute to the advancement of knowledge and pursue life-long learning for continual professional development 

Programme Educational Objectives (PEO): 

  1. Develop the ability to get strong background in scientific and electronic engineering area and attain professional competence through lifelong learning such as advanced degrees, professional registrations, publications and other professional activities. 
  2. Possess the critical thinking and soft skills, complex problem solving skills, management skills, language skills, communication skills in a wide variety of electronic engineering areas attaining the qualities of professional leadership and develop engineered-solutions that are well-conceived and carefully implemented to meet customer requirements. 
  3. Contribute Engineer who commits moral and ethical responsibilities and attribute strong desired in conducing social activities.
